Smorgasburg
Smorgasburg is a definite must for those who are hungry on a Sunday and who is not hungry on a Sunday? With multiple food selections from booths of local eats to food trucks there is something for everyone. This was my first time at Smorgasburg and I was impressed by the great food selections offered. There was everything form lobster dishes, tacos, sandwiches, seafood, several vegan options, Asian food, specialty drinks, etc. My favorites for the day was Spoon and Pork which served Pork Belly Nigiri and it was so delicious. There is nothing like seasoned pork belly and rice in a neat little nigiri package. The Peruvian tacos were yummy as well, I tried both Pollo and the Lomo Saltado. My favorite though was the Lomo. For dessert I picked up a couple of donuts from Donut Friend, a blueberry cake donut which was quite moist. Plus the Crème Brule Donut which was a raised donut with a hardened glaze and a crème filling. Both solid and a nice touch to end the day. There is seating but it can get filled pretty quick, so we got there early. We landed a spot and sometimes shared our table with others until they left. It may not be a bad idea to do just that, get there early and stake your spot. We also brought in a little rolling cooler with water so we didn't have to purchase any. I definitely would consider coming back when in town just to try other vendors that set up shop at Smorgasburg. Enjoy and wear elastic!
